JALAPENO CHEESE GRITS

Basic recipe for 2 servings of grits. Follow directions on package.

When done, off the heat and add to the pot:

2 jalapeno peppers, seeded, ribs removed and cut into very tiny dice

1/3 cup cream or half and half (milk is too thin for this)

3 Tbsp. butter

ground pepper to taste (add additional salt if necessary)

1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack or Jalapeno Jack cheese

1/2 cup shredded sharp Chedder cheese

Mix well over very low heat til cheese is melted.

Add additional cream if too dry.

Serve and enjoy
